On the technological and cultural attributes which define Generation Y artists
This essay was delivered as a speech at On the Edge of Chaos: Contemporary Neuroscience, Creative Patterns and Material Production, a symposium jointly coordinated by Emily Carr University of Art and Design and the University of British Columbia, on January 29, 2010. The speech was part of a panel entitled "Triple A: Autism, Aspergers and Art", which also included high-functioning autistic artist J.A. Tan, Dr. Peter Reiner from the National Core for Neuroethics and the Brain Research Centre at UBC, and award-winning documentarian Marianne Kaplan.
