Hello, everybody! I know it's been a long time since I updated-- almost a year, actually. As you might expect (and as I mentioned in my new post last June), much of that was related to navigating through the pandemic. COVID-19 really did make life as a fine artist difficult-- my opportunities for exhibiting work at galleries completely dried up after the Allied Arts show I did last summer, so there's been nothing for me to publicly announce all year. However, my silence doesn't mean I haven't been busy... far from it, actually. Over the course of the last year, I've been slowly building up a body of completely new artwork which takes my practice in a radically different direction! I'm planning to be able to unveil it a little later this summer, so please be patient, and I promise, I'll have some surprising new material to compensate for your long wait!

In the meantime, I'm very excited to announce that one of my paintings, "Nevada", was selected for exhibition in the 2021 Shoreline Arts Festival's Juried Art Show! This year, due to the pandemic, the show is 100% virtual, meaning you can enjoy all of the artwork from the comfort of your computer chair! You can view the show by clicking
here; the show runs from today, June 7, to June 31. There is also a People's Choice contest, where the general public is allowed to vote for which work they like best. The window for voting for that is 10 AM PST on June 26 - 4 PM PST on June 27. You don't have to vote for me, but any votes I get will certainly be appreciated!

As for actual brick-and-mortar exhibitions, those are still not quite a reality for me just yet-- I'm looking forward to being able to participate in shows again eventually. The good news on that front is that I have received my second vaccination for COVID, so I should finally be able to ease back into some semblance of normalcy fairly soon. There is light at the end of the tunnel, finally. I'll be sure to keep you posted on my progress!

Huge news to report today-- as I alluded to in my news post back in June, I've got something very special to share with all of you! Some of you may already know this, though most of you do not-- I've actually been toiling away in relative secrecy for the past year, compiling a fresh new body of artwork. Today, after many months of hard work, I am extremely proud to announce the official launch of my brand new exhibition, entitled Fingerism: Rejoinders to a Post-Pandemic World

The exhibition is 100% digital, so everyone will be able to access it from their computers or other personal devices. No official opening reception, no physical location to visit, no set dates for the show-- just an open-ended exhibition which will stay available to view indefinitely. I am so excited to finally be able to share my new work with everyone-- I think you'll all be quite surprised at the new direction I've taken!

To view the exhibition, click here, or visit the Fingerism page which I have added my gallery. The show also includes an optional audio tour, so you may want to have headphones handy.

Enjoy!
