Welcome to my brand new website! After a few months of working on its design, my official website is finally online. Here you can browse my art gallery, read my artist statement and CV, link to other associates of mine, and eventually download some of my written materials. Keep checking back here to stay up to date with news regarding my work-- I will try to update the News section at least once a month.

I hope you enjoy my site as much as I have enjoyed building it! In the coming months, I'm sure there will be lots of changes and additions, so please bear with me as I work to make this site the best it can be. If you have any feedback concerning the site, or any of my creative work, I'd be happy to hear from you. My contact information is located on the home page, with a link straight to my inbox.

Thanks for visiting!

Another update to my gallery. This time I've uploaded a bunch more images into my painting gallery, including two brand new paintings I finished in the past 24 hours. Go check them out!

One of these brand new paintings is from an idea I've been developing for a series entitled Artifacts. Hopefully I'll be able to add some others soon. They're a bit time-consuming to produce, but conceptually I think it's a really interesting idea for a series. My thanks to the UBC Museum of Anthropology for providing me with such an amazing array of source material.

Hey, everyone. Slight update to my gallery-- I've put up prices on my paintings. Unless marked with an NFS, the paintings in my gallery are for sale. If you're interested, shoot me an e-mail.

Hey everyone! I know it's a bit belated, but I hope all of my Canadian colleagues had a happy Thanksgiving. Over the holiday, I had a nice visit from my parents, during which I received an iPhone as an early birthday present-- which I only mention because it's a good segue to my real purpose for posting a new news bulletin.

Those of you who own iPhones (or other smartphones) may have noticed some confusing results from trying to look up my site from a mobile device. The truth is, I'm currently in the midst of trying to figure out how to provide a nice mobile version of my site using Wix's mobile template. I'm not really sure how long it's going to take before that's fully functional, considering that I'm currently sort of juggling a few other priorities that come higher up on the list. I'll try my best to have it up and running properly in a timely fashion. In the meantime, please bear with the construction and enjoy the fullscreen version. I'll put up a new post to let you know when the mobile site is ready to use.

Exciting news to report! I will be exhibiting some new artwork at the North Vancouver Community Arts Council's upcoming 7th Annual Anonymous Art Show. It's a fantastic way for aspiring artists to gain a little extra local recognition. The way it works is like this: the Arts Council issues an open call for artists to submit up to three small 8" x 8" paintings, with the caveat that all the artist's information (title, signature and name) has to be on the back. From several hundred submissions, they choose at least one from every artist to hang in the gallery. Then, potential buyers look them over, select ones they like, and they only find out the identity of the artist upon completion of the purchase. All of the artists' names, however, are listed up on the front wall of the gallery. Each painting sells for $100-- half goes to the artist, and half goes to the Arts Council. This will be my second year participating in this event, and I can tell you, it's a lot of fun!

So if you're in the Lower Mainland, possibly looking for a nice Christmas present for a loved one, and you're going to be in the vicinity of the North Shore anytime soon, why not drop by and support some local artists? The show starts with a big opening on Thursday, November 24 from 7-9:30 PM, and runs until December 17. The venue is the CityScape Community Art Space at 335 Lonsdale Ave., North Vancouver. For more information, visit NVCAC's official site for the Anonymous Art Show here. I'll be at the opening too, so I hope to see you there!

Hey, everyone! Just wanted to drop by to give a brief end-of-year update. I would have updated sooner, but I've been visiting family in Florida for the holidays.

I want to thank everybody who dropped by the Anonymous Art Show. It was a spectacular offering this year, with over 700 works from 416 different artists, including myself, and I'm so pleased to see how supportive the Lower Mainland community is in regards to nurturing emerging artists. Overall 223 paintings were sold at the show. None of my three displayed pieces were included in the list of sold artwork, but nevertheless it was a fun experience as always. If you are interested in purchasing one of my pieces, though, I remind you that I have prices listed for many of the paintings in my online gallery. Drop me a line via the e-mail address on the homepage and we can negotiate. I'm also hoping to establish a PayPal account soon.

Speaking of the North Vancouver CityScape Community Art Space, I'm currently in talks with a few of my colleagues from Emily Carr on the subject of developing a group show, hopefully for display in that very same gallery space. I don't want to give too many details just yet, as nothing is finalized, but I'll likely have more information following the submission of our proposal later on next month. Keep your eyes open for some news on that by the end of January!

I hope you all have a very merry Christmas and a happy holiday season, and I look forward to addressing you all in the new year!
