Happy Valentine's Day! My apologies for the long delay in updates. In case you hadn't noticed, I've got a new home address. That's because I have now permanently moved from Canada back to the United States. The past year has been so tumultuous for me, with moving and getting settled in my new home, that until now I really haven't had much of a chance to bring the site back in line. Now that I've had the chance, though, you should see some big updates to the gallery page-- a bunch of new work to display.

I would like to mention also, at this time, a couple exciting new developments. First, I have submitted three pieces of artwork-- I/O, 16153AecECf100474D [Circuits], and Electronic Filigree-- for consideration in the Bellingham National 2015 Art Exhibition, hosted by the Whatcom Museum, here in my new hometown of Bellingham. It's a juried show, with a $2000 award for 1st prize; if selected for the exhibition, my work will be on display in the Whatcom Museum from May 30 to September 13. I'll keep you all apprised of any news on this front.

Secondly, for anyone who may happen to live in the New England area, I also want to mention that another of my works, Pemberton Meadows, has been set aside to be auctioned off on TV! Specifically, I have sent my painting to New Hampshire's PBS affiliate NHPTV, to be entered into their annual Spring Auction. It's still tentative at this point, but once it's official, I'll be sure to post details here.

A little addition to the news below, which I posted a few weeks ago-- I have been informed that NHPTV's Spring Auction Gallery Night (which includes my painting, Pemberton Meadows) will specifically be held next Wednesday, April 29, from 6 PM - 12 midnight EST (3 PM - 9 PM for my friends here on the west coast). If, like me, you don't live in the New England area, that's not a problem-- the auction is being streamed online around the world! When it's time, just go to www.nhptv.org/auction, open the stream, and watch for my painting!

Hi everyone! I've got some really exciting news to share today! In my last update, I mentioned that my painting Pemberton Meadows would be appearing on New Hampshire Public Television, in their annual Spring Auction. As promised, I have new details to announce today-- namely, that my painting is among a select few pieces which has been selected to appear in their exclusive Gallery Night and their online Virtual Gallery! That means the painting is already open for bidding. You can find the Virtual Gallery at http://www.nhptv.org/auction/vblock.asp -- my painting is number V-071, second to last on the page. If you live in the New England area, you can watch for my painting on TV in the NHPTV Spring Auction, taking place from April 22 - May 2!

Fantastic news to report! After nearly five years in limbo, my novel Even Stars Die has been released as an e-book! You can visit Smashwords here to purchase it for only $6.99, or you can see more information by clicking the "Written" button above.

Admittedly, this was a difficult project for me, with a long history. I initially began working on the book in the summer of 2010, shortly after I graduated from Emily Carr University. Writing the first draft was the easy part-- it was complete within the span of four months, after which I weighed my options for publishing. I ultimately decided to self-publish as an e-book, to maintain full creative control over the project, eliminate printing costs and to make the book easier to distribute and better for the environment. However, the process of editing and properly formatting the book caused some protracted delays, which were not helped by challenges associated with my immigration status in Canada. It ultimately took moving back to the US, but the book is now ready for reading. Thank you all so much for your patience, and I hope you all enjoy it very much!

More great news, everyone! I've got two of my paintings, "Kitsilano Sunset" and "Fog", for sale in an upcoming gallery show! This time around, it's the 2015 Early Summer Juried Exhibit at the Jansen Art Center in Lynden, WA. This will actually be the second time I've had work exhibited there. The exhibition runs from June 4 - July 31st, with an opening reception this Thursday, June 4, from 6 - 8 PM! As usual, I plan to be there. If you live in the Bellingham area, I hope you'll consider coming out and showing your support for the local artists, and I hope to see you there!

Also, I just wanted to take this opportunity to mention that, in addition to my Smashwords page, my novel, Even Stars Die, is now available in the Barnes & Noble Nook Store, the Apple iBooks Store, Kobo and Oyster! Pick up a copy today-- I highly recommend it! ;)

Hey everyone! It's been a busy year for me so far, and it's not over yet-- in addition to the two paintings I currently have showing at the Jansen Art Center (see last month's news posting for details), I also have another piece of work in a show opening up tomorrow! This time, the show is Close Encounters: the unseen editions, an exhibition of original science fiction poster designs by local artists, hosted by the Make.Shift Gallery in downtown Bellingham. I contributed a poster based on one of my favorite sci-fi movies, Blade Runner. The show opens up during tomorrow's monthly Art Walk, from 6 - 10 PM, and runs until the end of August. As always, I will be in attendance. I hope to see you there!
