January 2023

January 31, 2023

Hey everyone, just popping in with a few updates and announcements. January has been such a whirlwind of activity for me, and I'm hoping that momentum will carry through into February, too.

First of all, opening night at the CVG Show (see below) was a great success. I was in attendance for the award ceremony and reception. My painting didn't win any awards, but it did sell before the evening was over! Moreover, the show is chock full of amazing pieces of work from some incredible Washington artists. I consider it a real honor and privilege to be displayed alongside them all, and I'm hopeful I'll be able to do it again at some point. If you haven't seen the show and have the means to visit Bremerton, I really encourage you to go check it out-- there's still about a month left.

And that leads me to my new exciting announcement. While "Hello, DALL-E (Variance 2)" is on display in the CVG Show, its companion piece, "Hello, DALL-E (Variance 1)" is also going to be on display for the month of February! That one will be exhibited as part of the 2023 Annual Membership Show at Allied Arts of Whatcom County here in Bellingham. The exhibit runs from February 3 - February 25, 2023, with an opening reception this Friday, February 3, from 6 - 9 PM, coinciding with February's Downtown Bellingham Art Walk. Once again, I will be in attendance, so hopefully, I'll see you there!

Happy New Year! I hope everybody has had a restful and enjoyable holiday season. As for me, I had a very good time at the Rebel Artists of Whatcom County art market last month, where I was able to end 2022 on an auspicious note and sell one of my originals, "Entropiad"! It has now accordingly been listed in my gallery as belonging in a private collection.

But the big news here is, I'm apparently starting 2023 in much the same fashion. One of my paintings, "Hello, DALL-E (Variance 2)" has been selected for display in the 2023 CVG Show at the Collective Visions Gallery in Bremerton, WA! The gallery is the largest commercial one in Kitsap County, and with just 135 artworks chosen from a pool of 1,100 submissions from all over the state of Washington, the show itself is one of the largest and most competitive exhibitions in the Pacific Northwest. I am one of only two artists chosen from the city of Bellingham!

If you're interested in checking it out, the exhibition runs from January 14 - February 24, 2023, with an opening reception on January 14 from 4 - 7 PM. For more information, click on the official gallery links above.
