Well, after a few false starts due to uncooperative weather, it looks like the 2023 vending season for Rebel Artists of Whatcom is finally going to officially open tomorrow... and I'll be there! I've been preparing for this for a few weeks now, and I've got a great selection of original artwork and merchandise. As always with the Saturday markets, it'll be open from noon - 5 PM, in Commercial Street Plaza in downtown Bellingham! Please drop by and support our local artists and vendors!

A bit of unfortunate news, sadly. Due to the cold and rainy weather, Rebel Artists of Whatcom has cancelled its art market today, so I will not be vending my art at the Art Walk this evening. Sorry about that. As it turns out, the one on April 1st was also cancelled, so the weather really hasn't been cooperating this month. I will be sure to let you know the next time I'm actually able to attend a market.

In the meantime, this will not impact my participation in the Jansen Art Center exhibition. I will still be there next Thursday.

Well, it's been a few months since I've had any news to report on. The two exhibitions in January / February went rather smoothly, and I even managed to sell my exhibited work at one of them. Now spring has sprung, the weather is warming up-- and that means more activity on the horizon! The next few weeks are set to be some very busy ones for me.

First up is my first art market of 2023 with Rebel Artists of Whatcom. Technically the first one of the year was on April 1, but I was unable to attend that one. However, I'll be present for the one this week, on Friday, April 7, from 4 - 8 PM at Commercial Street Plaza in downtown Bellingham, WA. It's on a Friday evening this week rather than Saturday afternoon in order to coincide with the Bellingham Downtown Art Walk, which falls on the first Friday of each month.

Then, next week, I'll be in attendance at the opening reception for the Spring 2023 Juried Art Exhibition at Jansen Art Center in Lynden, WA, where one of my paintings, "Nevada", will be on display. The reception is on Thursday, April 13 from 6 - 8 PM, and the show runs from April 13 - July 7.

Beyond that, I expect I'll be showing up at more art markets with Rebel Artists of Whatcom County on a fairly regular basis during the spring and summer. For updates on which ones I'll be attending, follow my  professional Instagram or Facebook accounts, and check frequently. And of course, if any big new developments come along, I'll be sure to update you here, as well!
